At Escape Eviction, our goal is to prevent homelessness by addressing the direct causes of housing insecurity. We hope to help our Dallas neighbors stay safely at home, help children stay in school, and keep families from experiencing homelessness.

On any given night, over 3,500 people are homeless in Dallas. Many are women, children, or socioeconomically marginalized community members. Their lives have been disrupted as a result of systemic issues such as housing insecurity, racism, underemployment, and lack of legal protection.

Escape Eviction is dedicated to addressing this issue by preventing homelessness at one of its main sources: eviction. Escape Eviction’s dedicated high school students and other volunteers directly engage with families facing eviction and help them stay housed
